Introducing La Paloma Dance Club: In March 1987, La Paloma Dance Club was established in the hilly residential area of Overport. The dance club offered Social Ballroom and Latin American dancing which was desperately needed in the suburb.
Led by their enthusiastic dance instructor Mr Nad Polly, La Paloma Dance Club grew from strength to strength. As a result of demand, dance classes were extended to various areas around Durban.
La Paloma Branches can now be found in Chatsworth, Umhlanga, Phoenix, Tongaat, Verulam and of course Overport. Each well-trained branch of La Paloma Dance club is now under it’s own administration. Students are trained in Ballroom Dances such as Foxtrot, Quickstep, Viennese Waltz and Waltz. The lessons also include Latin American Dances such as Cha Cha, Rhumba, Samba and Tango.

Aftermath DJ Club has had the pleasure of dj’ying for the Tongaat Branch. Patrons enjoyed a wonderful evening of Ballroom, Line Dancing, Bhangra, Jazz, 80’s, R ‘n B and Local Music. La Paloma socials are always packed to capacity as every branch attends every event. I must admit that the dance club excelled in their hospitality towards us. The evening really went off well and we were honoured to provide the entertainment for such a massive dance club.
The La Paloma family are always very welcoming and continue to be a success amongst the dance community.
